Phase 4 - Stage 2 On-site Grinder Pump Installations for Port Hadlock Construction of Phase 4 - Stage 2 On-site Grinder Pump Installation for Port Hadlock UGA Project Description: This contract provides for the construction of the second stage of on-site grinder pump installations for the Port Hadlock Wastewater System in Port Hadlock, Washington. Work includes on-site grinder pump installation within approximately 26 properties which include the connection to the low pressure sewer collection system; the installation of the 2-inch "side sewer" pipe, grinder pump; control panel; the connection to the existing building drain and appurtenances; pump start up and testing; abandoning of the existing septic tank; clearing and grubbing; hot mix asphalt, and other work, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. The Engineer's Estimate range for this work is $1,300,000 to $1,500,000 including WSST. Bid Bond: Each bid shall be accompanied by a surety bond, postal money order, cashiers check or certified check payable to the Treasurer of Jefferson County in the sum of five (5%) percent of the bid amount, to be forfeited to Jefferson County by the successful bidder if he/she fails to enter into a contract and file an acceptable surety bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price within ten (10) days of the award. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to accept the bid deemed most advantageous to Jefferson County, and to waive all informalities in the bidding. Ecology Funding: It is anticipated that this project will be funded in part by the Washington State Department of Ecology. Neither the State of Washington nor any of its departments or employees are, or shall be, a party to any contract or any subcontract resulting from this solicitation for bids. The Successful bidder will be required to conform to the wage requirements prescribed by the federal Davis-Bacon and Related Acts which requires that all laborers and mechanics employed by contractors and subcontractors performing on contracts funded in whole or in part by SRF appropriations in excess of $2000 pay their laborers and mechanics not less than the prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits, and determined by the Secretary of Labor, for corresponding classes of laborers and mechanics employed on similar projects in the area. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
