This procurement is open to those individuals or organizations that satisfy the minimum qualifications stated herein and that are available and licensed for work in Washington State. This is a competitive bid public works project and will require a retainage (5%) and payment of prevailing wages. The Longview School District (LPS) has determined a need to replace three boiler loop pipes (two 6" and one 8" lines) with three new 6" carbon steel pipes (approx. 150' ea.) from where they leave the boiler room to where the new boiler loop inside the main building was added. cope of Work 1. Field verify lengths of pipe. 2. Use existing crossover to allow boiler water to go through chilled water loop to provide heating during the project. 3. Sawcut and remove concrete and structural decking as needed to access existing piping (contractor verify quantities). 4. Drain existing boiler loop. 5. Remove all piping & insulation from where the loop leaves the boiler room to where it ties in to the new stainless steel boiler loop that goes into the attic. 6. Replace underground piping with new 6" (changing one 8" line to 6") schedule 40 ductile iron with welded joints. 7. Check existing pipe supports/hangers for structural integrity and report any deficiencies to the school district upon finding such deficiencies 8. Pressure test new piping to verify that there are no leaks 9. Insulate all new underground piping 10. Replace the structural decking that was removed 11. Pour back the concrete that was removed and match adjacent finishes as close as possible 12. Remove chilled/boiler water crossover and install blanks where piping is removed. 13. Add boiler loop chemical injection system with 15 gallons of chemical, test boiler loop water and add chemical as needed to bring boiler loop up to acceptable level (contractor to determine boiler loop capacity) Commence project on or after October 21, 2024. All proposals and any accompanying documentation become the property of the District and will not be returned. The District reserves the right to cancel or to reissue the RFP in whole or in part, prior to execution of a decision. The District also has the right to reject any or all proposals.
