Closing time: 10:00AM Question Acceptance Deadline 2024/10/14 10:00:00 AM NDT Snow Clearing and Ice Control for Ocean Science Center and Local Environs, Maintenance/service Agreement The Contractor Shall Clear All Snow From All Parking Lots, Parking Lot Entrances, on-site Roadways, Access Roadways, Turning Areas, Loading Areas, Fire Lanes, Walkways, Steps and Building Exits/entrances. The Entrances to the Properties Must Be Free of Snow Buildup. Snow Must Not Be Allowed to Accumulate at Site Roadway Entrances Such That at the Discretion of the Memorial University Designated Representative, Traffic Sight Lines Are Impeded. 2) Snow Clearing Must Commence Whenever There is an Accumulation of Snow or When Wind Conditions Cause Drifting to Such a Degree That It Will Impede the Smooth and Safe Flow of Traffic. The Contractor Must Visit the Site When the Conditions Are Doubtful to Make Sure There Will Be No Impediments to the Flow of Traffic. 3) the Contractor Must Plow Snow to the Extremities of All Areas Being Cleared in Order to Utilize All the on-site Storage Space to Its Maximum. During Normal Snow Clearing, Contractor Must Push Snow to All Outer Property Lines to Expose All Parking Spaces and Reduce Need for Bulk Snow Removal. 4) Snow Must Be Cleared in Such a Manner to Avoid Leaving a Build-up of Any Snow or Ice. Any Such Build-up of Snow or Ice Left on Cleared Areas is to Be Removed at No Cost to Memorial University. 5) Should It Be Necessary Due to Excessive Snowfall, Additional Equipment Shall Be Made Available to Remove Snow and Clear Properties Prior to 07:00 Hours. The Contractor Shall Employ Only Fully Qualified and Trained Equipment Operators. To provide snow clearing and ice control for Memorial University of Newfoundland Ocean Science Center, St. Johns, NL and surrounding environs as per Appendix C, Pricing Form as attached, for the period from November 1, 2024 to October 31, 2025.
