Barbara Drummond Thorne Academic & Research Facility Scope of Work: The General Scope of the Work Includes but is Not Limited to: Construct the Barbara Drummond Thorne Academic & Research Facility, a Four-story, 138,000-square-foot Building Located at the Northeast Corner of Mell Street and Roosevelt Drive. Designed to Support the College of Human Sciences, It Will House Teaching Spaces, Faculty Research Facilities, Laboratories, Classrooms, Offices and Common Areas. The Project Will Also Allow the College to Consolidate Its Related Disciplines Into a Single, Purpose-built Location. In Accordance With Code of Alabama, 39-2-2(a), Prequalification is Required for This Project. Performance and Statutory Labor and Material Payment Bonds Will Be Required at the Signing of the Contract.
