The project is expected to be awarded on February 2, 2026.** The extent of work on this project is the furnishing of all labor, equipment, and materials for the construction of improvements generally described as follows: This project will include approximately 4,200 Cubic Yards (CY) of Class 10 Excavation,3,120SquareYards(SY)of6"ReinforcedConcretePavement,220 Square Yards SY) of HMA Pavement, Pipe Culverts, other required erosion control items, other required site restoration items, and other miscellaneous items to complete the project. Each proposal shall be electronically accompanied by a scanned copy of the bid bond or a scanned copy of acashier'sorcertifiedcheckdrawnonanIowabankorabankcharteredunderthe laws of the United States in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. If a bid bond is submitted it must be on the form provided with the contract documents. A physical copy of the bid security will be required to be submitted to the CityClerk'sOfficebytheapparentlowbidderwithin48hoursofthebiddeadline. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance and payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price guaranteeing faithful performance of the contract and guaranteeing payment to all persons supplying labor and/or materials in the execution of the work provided for in the contract. Additionally the contractor must provide the City with a guarantee of maintenance of said improvement in the form of surety for a period of four (4) years from the time of acceptance by the City. Work on said project shall commence within ten (10) days of the written notice to proceed and shall be completed by September 30th, 2026. Liquidated damages in the amount of Two Hundred Fifty dollars ($250.00) per day will be assessed for each day that the work remains uncompleted after the end of the contract period.
