Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Marathon, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The City of Marathon is proposing to upgrade its stormwater management system as part of the Sombrero Blvd Drainage Improvement Project. This project will raise and regrade the existing roadway, install a curb and gutter system along with a concrete sidewalk, and install a new pump-assisted injection well with a concrete platform to house the necessary electrical control panels for the proposed pumps. The project spans a total of 3,200 linear feet of roadway. The main scope of work includes: installation of approximately 1,927 linear feet of 18" ADS HDPE storm pipe, ten (10) FDOT Type C catch basins, eight (8) FDOT Type 9 curb inlets, 1 control structure, 1 Nyloplast weir structure, and approximately 1,760 linear feet of FDOT Type F curb/gutter; 4" thick (5' wide) concrete sidewalk; and a pump-assisted injection well with a wet well housing three (3) 4,500 GPM pumps, a valve vault, and a 24" PVC Sch. 80 injection well. Additionally, it will include 3,200 linear feet of roadway construction, a concrete platform with aluminum handrails and stairs, and all necessary electrical equipment for the pump system. Bid Alternate #1 includes approximately 1,028 linear feet of 18" ADS HDPE storm pipe, six (6) FDOT Type C catch basins, four (4) FDOT Type 9 curb inlets, two (2) FDOT Type S gutter inlets, approximately 1,000 linear feet of FDOT Type F curb/gutter, approximately 400 linear feet of FDOT shoulder gutter, 1,000 linear feet of roadway construction, and a 4" thick (5' wide) concrete sidewalk. Bid Alternate #2 involves approximate 237 linear feet of 18" ADS HDPE storm pipe, one (1) FDOT Type C catch basin, one (1) FDOT Type 9 curb inlet, approximately 440 linear feet of FDOT Type F curb/gutter, approximately 380 linear feet of FDOT shoulder gutter, 440 linear feet of roadway construction, and a of 4" thick (5' wide) concrete sidewalk. Bid Alternate #3 involves the procurement and installation of a backup generator and automatic transfer switch (ATS). Throughout the project limits, the roadway will be raised and regraded using Type B stabilization, Base Group 6, and Superpave Asphalt Concrete SP-9.5 and SP-12.5. All electrical control panels shall have NEMA 3R or 4X Stainless Steel enclosures. All construction will adhere to the details specified in the Construction Plans, Bid Documents, and Technical Specifications.
