This Project is state funded and will therefore, be bid utilizing prevailing and non-prevailing wage rates at the time of bid. The Howard County Public School System requests your bid to complete the modernization of the existing elevator at Elkridge Landing Middle School. The awarded contractor will provide the engineering, equipment, labor and permits required to satisfactorily complete the elevator modernization as noted in the bid documents. Question Deadline 10/09/2024 at 3:00 PM ET All questions shall be directed, in writing via online. The Board reserves the right to waive any informalities in, or to reject any or all bids. Instructions pertaining to the Bid Bond, Surety Checks, Performance and Materials Payment Bond requirements are contained in the bid documents. Certified Minority Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation notice. The contractor or supplier who provides materials, supplies, equipment and/or services for this project shall attempt to achieve the specific overall MBE goal of 5% percent established for this project from Minorityowned businesses. The Work includes, but is not limited to, all work necessary for the modernization of existing hydraulic elevators, upgrades to HVAC, electric and life safety devices, and touch-up of adjacent finishes disturbed by replacement work. The Work also includes the removal and replacement of elevator cab finishes and related components. Hardware includes mechanical and electronic access system components for complete operating assemblies.
