Construction of 2400 feet of EP True Parkway from Future Bridgewood Boulevard to Wendover Lane including 15 acres of Clearing and Grubbing, 15,069 CY of Topsoil Strip, Salvage and Spread, 50,371 CY of Excavation. 3,606 LF of Storm Sewer and 31 Storm Sewer Structures. 780 LF of Subdrain and Subdrain Outlets. 17,840 LF of Conduit and Vaults. 2,585 LF of Water Main, Fittings, Valves and Hydrants. 11,266 SY of 8 inch Reinforced PCC Pavement, 253 LF of 6 inch PCC Pavement and 2,733 SY of 6 inch Reinforced PCC Shared Use Path. 176 LF of Twin 8 Foot x 8 Foot Reinforced Concrete Box Culvert and Headwalls. Erosion Control, Seeding and Surface Restoration, Pavement Markings, Construction Survey, and other Miscellaneous Construction. All bids shall be made on the form furnished by the City through wdm.ionwave.net and shall be filed on or before the time specified above. Each proposal shall be electronically accompanied by a scanned copy of the bid bond or a scanned copy of a cashier's or certified check drawn on an Iowa bank or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. If a bid bond is submitted it must be on the form provided with the contract documents. A physical copy of the bid security will be required to be submitted to the City Clerk's Office by the apparent low bidder within 48 hours of the bid deadline. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance and payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price guaranteeing faithful performance of the contract and guaranteeing payment to all persons supplying labor and/or materials in the execution of the work provided for in the contract. Additionally the contractor must provide the City with a guarantee of maintenance of said improvement in the form of surety for a period of four (4) years from the time of acceptance by the City. The first phase of EP True Parkway from Grand Prairie Parkway to Bridgewood Boulevard is scheduled to be let in early May, 2025. Intersection improvements at EP True Parkway and Grand Prairie Parkway is scheduled to be let in late May, 2025. This project will require coordination with both of these projects. Work on said project shall commence within 10 days of written notice to proceed and shall be completed by August 15th, 2026. Liquidated damages in the amount of Five hundred dollars ($500.00) per day will be assessed for each day that the work remains uncompleted after the end of the contract period. The City reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and to waive any and/or all technicalities and/or all irregularities. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
