These are minimum specifications. The County of Peoria reserves the right to award to either a single or multiple vendors. The County reserves the right to waive technicalities and accept the proposal that best suits its needs. This project is a Public Works Project and will be subject to Prevailing Wage Act. Please see "General Instructions to Bidders" for details. In addition to the Prevailing Wage Act requirements, Peoria County requires any General, or Sub-Contractor for contracts of $5,000 or greater, to participate in an Apprenticeship Training Program and to submit a "Certificate of Apprenticeship and Training" with bid response. General Contractors will be required to submit names of any/all subcontractors to be used on this project. The selected respondent shall perform the following services (at a minimum): The Peoria County Highway Department is in need of a new fuel island located at the Peoria County Fleet Office, located at 6917 W. Plank Rd., Peoria, IL 61604. The existing fuel island will be used as long as feasible during the construction of the new fuel island, then demolished and remediated as part of the scope of work. Respondent team responsible for providing all permitting, design and construction as a turn-key design build deliverable to Peoria County. Provide demolition of the existing fuel canopy and pumps, excavation of the existing 10,000-gallon fuel tank and remediation of the site for contamination. The (2) attached site plans show the current location of the existing fuel island and the proposed location for the new fuel island. Traffic access to the fleet maintenance building shall be maintained during construction. Construction schedule shall be proposed by the awarded contractor at the start of the project. The following requirements should be provided in the new fuel island: - (2) double sided fuel pumps (1 dedicated for gasoline, 1 dedicated for diesel) - (1) 10, 000-gallon underground fuel tank for gasoline - (1) 10, 000-gallon underground fuel tank for diesel fuel - (1) 4'-0" x 6'-0" (min) storage enclosure for truck supplies (wiper fluid, etc.) - (1) 30' x 60' fuel island canopy to shelter both fuel pumps, vehicle lanes, and truck supply enclosure - Fuel pumps need the ability to connect to the County's Fuel inventory software (Fuel Master) to the asset management software (G Works)
