Site work and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Ames, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field.

The general nature of the work consists of constructing one Mini-Pitch Soccer Court under four separate bid packages. The Bid packages consist of BP-1 Concrete & Grading, BP-2 Mini Pitch System, Lights, & Acrylic Surfacing, BP-3 Electrical and BP-4 Water Service. The City will serve as its own general contractor for this project. This bid is for Bid Package 2 - Mini Pitch System, Lights, & Acrylic Surfacing. The project site is located at Lloyd Kurtz Park, 3710 Hyde Ave, Ames, Iowa 50010. All other work indicated in the contract documents shall also be included in the project drawings and scope. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with a bid security as defined in Code of Iowa Section 26.8 and as specified in the Instructions to Bidders. Each successful bidder shall be required to furnish a corporate surety bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of its contract price. Said bond to be issued by a responsible surety approved by the City Council and shall guarantee the faithful performance of the contract and the terms and conditions therein contained and shall guarantee the prompt payment of all material and labor, and protect and save harmless the City from claims and damages of any kind caused by the operations of the contract and shall also guarantee the maintenance of the improvement in good repair for a period of one (1) year from and after the completion and acceptance by the City. After award and approval of contract and performance bond, overall project and all work on this contract shall be completed no later than May 31, 2025. Concrete and grading shall be completed prior to the installation of the Mini-Pitch System, Lights and Acrylic Surfacing. The City does hereby reserve the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to enter such contract, or contracts, as it shall deem to be in the best interest of the City.
