The contractor shall displace all snow and ice from the town-owned roads, parking lots, and walkways and steps. Snow displacement operation shall commence once accumulation is approximately one (1) inch or greater. Services shall continue through the duration of the snow or ice event. At which time final cleanup shall be completed.The contractor shall be responsible for the application of salt to all areas to be displaced of snow.The contractor shall also be responsible for follow-up salt application to all areas necessary in the days following the snow or ice occurrence as well as hazard areas. The Maintenance areas are as follows: Chase Rd and Aspen Hill Rd to the Newton turnaround, South Rd to the E. Kingston turnaround, Stagecoach Rd to dead end turnaround, Hilldale Rd to Currier St turn around at Cemetery, Lonegoose Rd to Newton turnaround, Whitehall Rd form MA. Line to Jewel St intersection, Whitehall Rd west to MA Stateline at campground. Woodman to Highland Rd to Kensington turnaround, Highland Rd to Evans Rd to Locust St.to town line turnaround. Snow Displacement including Snow Shoveling at 3 Hilldale Ave, Parking lot area, walkways and all doors including the library and library ramp. This also includes keeping snow and snow piles away from the Oil Delivery Nozzle. Snow Displacement including Snow Shoveling at 128 Main Ave. Snow to be removed from in front of building (2) engine bay doors and 2 side entry doors. Back of building to access rear stairs and Quonset hut for police vehicle storage. Also remove snow from the front of cardboard dumpsters.
