This segment was constructed after the 2013 flood to create a redundant segment for the Town's high-pressure waterline and create a looped system. However, a portion of this segment has been turned off and isolated between two valves due to a leak.. It seems that leak might be within the casing under US36. Given the relatively short distance between valves, the Town has decided to just replace the entire portion of pipe.
