Provo City is Accepting Sealed Requests for Proposals for the Provo City Dog Park Master Plan And Implementation Strategy the Purpose of This Proposal is to Outline a Comprehensive Master Plan and Implementation Strategy for Establishing New Dog Parks in the Community. This Initiative Aims to Create Safe, Engaging, and Well-designed Spaces for Dogs and Their Owners, Promoting Both Animal Welfare and Community Engagement. Our Objective is to Identify New Locations for Multifunctional Dog Parks That Accommodate Various Sizes, Foster Community Interaction and Ensure Sustainable and Low Maintenance Facilities. Each question should reference a specific section, page and item of this document. Answers to the written questions will be posted on the U3P web site for all parties to view. Final clarification submission October 22, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. Provo City is located along the Wasatch Range of the Rocky Mountains, forty miles south of Salt Lake City. With a growing population of 116,000, Provo is a community that values park and recreation facilities and services. To meet the needs of current and future park users, the 2021 Provo Parks and Recreation Master Plan recommends looking for opportunities for off-leash facilities for dog owners. The Master Plan also projects level of service recommendations of an additional 3 off-leash dog park areas by 2030. Provo City is seeking proposals from qualified planning consultants to develop a comprehensive Off-Leash Dog Park Master Plan and Implementation Strategy. The plan should assess community needs through statistically valid surveys and other outreach methods to determine the appropriate capacity, locations, and range of services for off-leash dog parks within the city. Based on selection criteria outlined in the new Dog Park Master Plan, the Implementation Strategy will identify potential locations and amenities for community and regional-sized dog parks. The strategy will also address environmental considerations and incorporate community feedback. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all BIDS and to waive any formality in BIDS received, to accept or reject any or all of the items in the BID, and award the contract in whole or in part, if it is deemed in the Owner's best interest. The Owner reserves the right to negotiate any and all elements of the BID, if such action is deemed in the best interest of the Owner. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
