The new system will include fire door holders, initiating devices, signaling devices, manual devices, automatic devices (smoke/heat detectors), annunciation system, elevator interconnections, atrium smoke control initiating, control and annunciator panels as recommended or mandated by local and state building codes, NFPA 72, and Purdue University. Existing fire alarm system at Hicks Undergrad Library will remain in place and functioning until the new system is on-line and operable.
