All labor, material and equipment associated with the upgrade of common areas in Edward A. Lawler Towers (6121 & 6131 Grand Avenue) two fourteen-story residential buildings. The scope of work generally includes the following: - Removal of existing carpeting and installation of new LVT flooring - Preparation and painting of walls and ceilings - Repair & painting existing handrails - Removal and replacement of lighting - Installation of new graphics and signage - Renovation of Mail Rooms The Base Bid work of this project, as outlined above, shall be completed in a period of Two Hundred Forty (240) Calendar Days. Work will be performed in an occupied building and will be phased and coordinated with the Housing Authority. A certified check or bank draft payable to the HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE TOWNSHIP OF NORTH BERGEN, United States Government Bonds, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the Bid shall be submitted by each Bidder. The surety company must also be licensed to do business in the State of New Jersey. Attention is called to the provision of Equal Opportunity Employment and Prevailing Wages for payments not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Specification. Women and Minority Owned Business Contractors are encouraged to submit Bids. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening of Bids without the consent of the HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE TOWNSHIP OF NORTH BERGEN. Awards will be made to the lowest responsible bidder. The contract will be awarded after review is complete. Plans and Specification must be picked up or mailed deposits received by the Architect must be accompanied by a check made payable to LOTHROP ASSOCIATES ARCHITECTS INC. in the amount of $50.00, to cover the cost of postage and handling if mailing is desired. Bid Documents will become available for pick-up on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.
