The timeline for award has not yet been established.** The agenda will include a review of areas of work and review of the scope of work under the contract. Participants are advised that on-site and street parking is limited at the facility. The scope of the Project generally includes work in an occupied School for removal of the existing masonry and terra cotta parapet and cornice at the circa 1919 section of the School and reconstruction of parapet at lower height; approx. 10,000 SF roof removal and replacement from the 1919 section; removal and replacement of lower area roofing, with installation of new perimeter fencing; minor repair to other roof areas; repair to approximately 105 linear feet of Gym building wall base modifications and structural repairs (concrete curb, steel, and insulated metal panels); and metal wall cladding installation over existing masonry walls; demolition and proper disposal; all protections to the building, site, and occupants, including scaffolding and protective sheds; and all other work, complete, as described in the Contract Documents. All questions concerning the bidding documents, plans and specifications shall be submitted to the North Bergen Board of Education's Architect in writing by 10am Friday, February 7, 2025 to allow for issuance of responses. Questions shall be addressed in writing to the office of the District Architect, L+C Design Consultants, by email - ussr@mlalc.com. A bidder's proposal must be accompanied by a Surety's Consent and either a bid bond or Certified check for not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount of the bid or $20,000.00 maximum whichever is the lesser. Certified checks shall be made payable to North Bergen Board of Education. The said Surety shall be bound to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds, each equal to 100% of the Contract Price. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, C.127. N.J.A.C. 17:27 Affirmative Action, N.J.A.C. 10-5-31 et seq.; Public Law 2012 Chapter 25; and N.J.S.A. 10:2-2 Anti-Discrimination requirements. Bidders shall comply with all applicable sections of the New Jersey Public School Contracts Law N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-1 et seq. Bidder, at the time of the Bid submission, may not be included on the State Treasurer's or the Federal Government's List of Debarred, Suspended or Disqualified Bidders as a result of action taken by any State or Federal agency. Submission of a Chapter 271 Political Contribution Disclosure Form is required. North Bergen Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all Bids in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-22, as well as the right to waive all immaterial informalities in accordance with applicable law, in awarding a contract deemed to be in the best interest of the Board. Estimated budget: $1,500,000 to $2,500,000 All work under this contract shall be constructed and installed in full accordance with the contract documents, and shall be substantially complete with any required certification of occupancy in place by August 14, 2025, with completion secured and certified, with close out documents in place, prior to September 14, 2025 *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
