Site work and paving for a civil project in Walkersville, Maryland. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The principal features of work to be performed under this contract include, but are not limited to, the installation of approximately 1,909 LF of new 6-inch Ductile Iron Pipe, 6,285 LF, of new 8-inch Ductile Iron Pipe, install 13 fire hydrants, remove and replace 4,237 LF of new 1-inch Copper Service Connections, replace 143 water curb stops, above-ground temporary water main, pavement repair, and proper trench restoration. The project limits are shown on the Contract Drawings. Coordination of and installation shall be the responsibility of the Contractor. No bids will be considered unless accompanied by a certified check, cashier s check or a treasurer s check drawn on a bank or a bid bond payable to the Town of Walkersville, Maryland, 21 W. Frederick St., Walkersville, Maryland 21793, in the amount of 5 percent of the total bid price. In addition, the successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment Bond and also a Performance Bond in the full amount of the Contract Award. The successful bidder will be required to give bond and comply with the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland respecting Contracts. Question Deadline 10/17/2024 Request for a clarification or interpretation of Bidding Documents shall be submitted in writing to the Town of Walkersville by email to accounting@walkersvillemd.gov Attention: Yunellis Morales-Matias, The contractor shall perform everything required to be performed and shall provide and furnish all the labor, materials, necessary tools, expendable equipment, and all utility and transportation services required to perform and complete in a workmanlike manner all the work required for the construction of Discovery Water Main Replacement, Town of Walkersville Contract,, all in strict accordance with the Contract Documents including any and all Addenda, prepared by Town of Walkersville, Maryland which Contract Documents are made a part of the Contract and in strict compliance with the Contractor's Proposal and the other sections of the Contract Documents herein mentioned which are a part of this Contract, and the Contractor shall do everything required by this Contract and the other documents constituting a part hereof.
