Renovation of an educational facility in Sunnyvale, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Proposals from qualified persons, firms, partnerships, corporations, associations, or professional organizations to provide constructability review, value engineering, master scheduling, cost estimating, budgeting, and construction services for the development and construction for the Cumberland Elementary School Maintenance Project ("Project"), in accordance with the lease-leaseback structure set forth in Education Code section 17406 et seq. This is a Lease-Leaseback project the will include pre-construction and construction-related services. The project consists of campus-wide replacement of HVAC units, mechanical controls, new flooring, and lighting upgrades. The school has twelve buildings. Refer to the attached scope of work exhibit. oThe HVAC units will be replaced with electric units of in kind at nine (9) buildings, approx. 42,360 SF. oHVAC controls will be replaced with pelican controls at nine (9) buildings, approx. 46,200 SF. oThe flooring will be replaced in kind, (VCT and carpet) at nine (9) buildings, approx. 45,900 SF. oThe lighting will be replaced with similar LED fixtures at nine (9) buildings, approx. 45,900 SF. oThe project will include exterior painting of all buildings on campus, twelve (12 total), using the as-built documentation and photographs for exterior elevations. This Project is subject to labor compliance monitoring and enforcement of compliance with prevailing wage requirements by the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code 1771.4, and skilled and trained workforce requirement pursuant to Public Contract Code 2600. Contractors of all tiers must be currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Labor Code 1725.5. All Respondents must be prequalified by the District in accordance with Public Contract Code 20111.6. First tier electrical, mechanical and plumbing subcontractors must be prequalified prior to the time subcontractor bids are submitted.
