These specifications are intended to cover the requirements for a three-phase, 60 Hertz, 161 kV outdoor SF6 circuit breaker for use on a 161,000Y/92,953 volt transmission system. The circuit breaker shall be designed, manufactured, and tested in accordance with these specifications and all applicable sections of the latest revisions of the following unless otherwise specified: American National Standards Institute (ANSI), C37 ANSI C76.1 on Apparatus Bushings ANSI C80.1 Standard Specifications for Rigid Steel Conduit National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), SG 4 ICEA Specifications for Wire and Cable Uniform Building Code (UBC) National Electrical Code (NEC) If there are items the Manufacturer routinely supplies in its breakers that are not covered by these specifications, the Manufacturer shall make Huntsville Utilities aware of such items before deleting them. If there are discrepancies and/or inconsistencies within these specifications, the Manufacturer shall make Huntsville Utilities aware of such items before making its own decision. PHYSICAL CONDITIONS The circuit breaker(s) shall be furnished for operation in the following physical conditions: Altitude: 500 to 2000 feet above mean sea level. Ambient temperature: -30 degrees F to 110 degrees F. Wind load: 80 mph. Seismic zone: 2 as defined by UBC The contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and transportation necessary to perform the work called for under this contract in a timely, safe, and professional manner. All questions and requests for this bid packet should be emailed to the Contract Administrator signed below. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of ninety (90) days. The right to reject any and all bids is reserved.
