Renovation of a municipal facility in Wallkill, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The Town of Wallkill is requesting proposals from qualified vendors to furnish and install two (2) new 60 Mil. Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) Roofing System. The specifications for both roofs are as follows: 1.Furnish all necessary labor and material for the following work; New York State Prevailing Wage Rates Apply. 2.Each building is approximately 25,000 sq. ft. 3.Remove all existing EPDM roofing and leave the existing ISO where possible. 4.Install new white 60 mil TPO roof system mechanically attached using Rhino Bond system in accordance with manufacturer's specification. 5.Replace the existing metal 2-piece system along the entire perimeter with a new 2-piece edging system. The under piece to serve as the termination strip with the TPO fully adhered to it and top piece to be finish piece being face fastened at 2-foot intervals around the entire edge. 6.Install all new TPO pitch pockets and fill with pourable sealers. 7.Install a new TPO walk pad at the roof hatch around HVAC units. 8. All remaining roof top units, skylights, curbs, pipes, penetrations, etc. to be flashed to current heights as required and according to manufacturer's specifications. 9.There are eight (8) roof drains on each roof. If necessary, remove existing drains and install new OMG Hercules drains (size to match existing) complete with 4'x4'sump with aluminum drain covers, flashed with TPO according to manufacturer's specification. Please provide a time and material cost for this work should it be necessary. 10. Please provide a time and material cost for any work not previously addressed such a rotten wood, metal decking, insulation or structural deficiencies that may need replacement once the existing roof is removed. 11. The site will be cleaned up and debris removed by the vendor upon completion of the work. 12 .The Town requires a minimum warranty of 20 years on material and 15 years on workmanship. RIGHT OF REJECTION BY THE TOWN - Notwithstanding any other provision of this Request for Proposals (RFP), the Town reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any informality in a proposal when to do so would be to the advantage of the Town or its taxpayers. Proposals that contain conditions or limitations to the requirements set forth in the RFP may be considered non-responsive and rejected. INSURANCE Contractor shall file and maintain with Town at all times during the term of the Contract, a copy or certificate of general liability insurance with an insurance company acceptable to, and approved by, the Commissioner of Public Works, with minimum limits of One Million Dollars ($1,000,000.00) combined single limit coverage against any injury, death, loss or damage as a result of wrongful or negligent acts or omissions by the Contractor. Such insurance shall not be canceled without thirty (30) days' prior written notice to Town, shall name the Town and its officers and employees as additional insured's, shall include all automobiles utilized by Contractor's personnel in the performance of this Agreement, and shall be primary and not contributing with other insurance available to the Town. PERFORMANCE BOND - The vendor agrees to furnish a Performance Bond in the amount equal to 100% of the contract amount, due upon notification of the award. The cost of the Performance Bond will be the responsibility of the awarded firm.
