Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Terre Haute, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The contract will consist of the following: The project includes the replacement of four (4) corrugated metal pipe culverts, five (5) 3-sided concrete box culverts with wing walls, one (1) 4-sided concrete box with wing walls, three (3) 3-sided concrete. box culverts without wing walls, one (1) double barrel pipes within a 3-sided concrete culvert, one (1) single barrel pipe within a concrete culvert, and one (1) concrete arch culvert, all located throughout Vigo County. Plans and Specifications for the Projects are on file and may be examined at the following locations beginning Tuesday, September 24, 2024: Vigo County Commissioners Office 650 South 1 Street Terre Haute, IN 47807 (812) 462-3367 HWC Engineering 601 South 3rd Street Terre Haute, IN 47807 (812) 234-2551 Complete sets of bidding documents may be viewed at online. All interested citizens are invited to attend, and should any citizens require special provisions, such as handicapped modifications or non-English translation personnel, the County will provide such provisions as long as the request is made by Monday, October 14, 2024. The work to be performed and the bid to be submitted shall include sufficient and proper sums for all general construction, installation, labor, materials, permits, licenses, insurance, and so forth incidental to and required for the construction of the facilities. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or acceptable bidder's bond made payable to the Owner, in a sum of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the highest aggregate bid, which check or bond will be held by the Owner as evidence that the bidder will, if awarded the contract, enter into the same with the Owner upon notification from him to do so within ten (10) days of said notification. Approved performance and payment bonds guaranteeing faithful and proper performance of the work and materials, to be executed by an acceptable surety company, will be required of the Contractor at the time he executes his contract. The bond will be in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price and must be in full force and effect throughout the term of the Construction Contract plus a period of twelve. (12) months from the date of substantial completion. The Owner reserves the right to reject any bid, or all bids, or to accept any bid or bids, or to make such combination of bids as may seem desirable, and to waive any and all informalities in bidding. Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of bids or authorized postponement thereof. Any bid received after the time and date specified shall not be considered. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least ninety (90) days. Bids shall be properly and completely executed on bid forms included in the Specifications. Bids shall include all information requested by Indiana Form 96 (Revised 2013) included with the Specifications. Under Section III of Form 96, the Bidder shall submit a financial statement. A copy of the proposed Financial Statement to be submitted with the bid is included in the bid documents section to these specifications. The Owner may make such investigations as deemed necessary to determine the ability of the Bidder to perform the work and the Bidder shall furnish to the Owner all such information and data for this purpose as the Owner may request. The Owner reserves the right to reject any bid if the evidence submitted by, or investigation of, such Bidder fails to satisfy the Owner that such Bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the Agreement and to complete the wor contemplated therein. Bidders shall submit all questions to the Engineer in writing via email to Troy Swan, P.E. (tswan@hwcengineering.com). Questions will be taken until 4 p.m. (EST) local time on Thursday October 10, 2024. At this time no further questions will be answered, or changes made to the documents. A final addendum, if required, will be issued on Friday October 11, 2024. Contractorshall complete all Work asspecified or indicated in the Contract Documents. The Work is generally described as follows: 1. Replace an existing 70'x36" corrugated metal pipe and riprap scour protection at Meneely St. 2. Replace an existing 42'x64" corrugated metal pipe and riprap scour protection at Haymaker Ave. 3. Replace an existing 38'x72" corrugated metal pipe and riprap scour protection at S Mill St. 4. Replace an existing 22'x15'x5' precast concrete box culvert and riprap scour protection at W CR 1200 N. 5. Replace an existing 64'x12'x8' precast concrete box culvert and riprap scour protection at E Old Fort Harrison Ave. 6. Replace an existing 21'x12'x6.8' precast concrete box culvert and riprap scour protection at E Toney Ave. 7. Replace an existing 14'x13.8'x4' precast concrete box culvert and riprap scour protection at N Main St. 8. Replace an existing 40'x14'x3.4' precast concrete box culvert and riprap scour protection at Rosedale Rd. 9. Replace an existing 31'x16'x3' precast concrete box culvert and riprap scour protection at Rosedale Rd. 10. Replace an existing 34'x18'x5' precast concrete box culvert with two corrugated metal pipes 34'x54" and 34'x72" and riprap scour protection at S Daniel St. 11. Replace an existing 40'x6'x4.5' precast concrete box culvert and riprap scour protection at S Daniel St. 12. Replace an existing 31'x72" precast concrete arch pipe and riprap scour protection at S All St. 13. Replace an existing 29'x84" precast concrete arch pipe and riprap scour protection at S All St. 14. Replace an existing 20'x84" precast concrete arch pipe and riprap scour protection at Gobin Dr. 15. Replace an existing 40'x13'x6' precast concrete box culvert and riprap scour protection at Fenway Dr. 16. Replace an existing 18'x15'x6' precast concrete box culvert and riprap scour protection at Dearborne Dr. 17. Replace an existing 102'x84" corrugated metal pipe and riprap scour protection at Dearborne Dr.
