Waste Water Treatment Plant Blower Unit Lexington Utilities reserves the right to waive all informalities in bids, to accept any bid or any portion thereof, or to reject any or all bids should it be deemed in its best interest to do so. The Utility reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any or all informalities and to award a contract to any Respondent deemed to be in the best interests of the Utility. Questions Due to Lexington Utilities Friday, October 18, 2024 by 4:00 pm During the course of this request process, from issuance until a recommendation for award, Bidders shall not initiate contact related to this request with anyone other than the officially designated individual. For this bid the contact is Brandon Morris at Brandon.Morris@lexingtontn.gov. All questions regarding this invitation for bids shall be directed by email. All inquiries shall clearly identify the name of the firm and the authorized representative. The deadline for receipt of questions from Bidders in regards to this ITB is Friday, October 18, 2024. Responses will be prepared by Lexington Utilities in an addendum and emailed to all bidders. Contractor agrees, at contractor's own cost and expense, to do all the work and furnish all the labor, materials, equipment, and property necessary to transport, store, install, and test the new blower unit. 1. The Contractor shall not be responsible for the removal of the existing, inoperable blower. The Utility will have the inoperable blower removed before the contractor begins any work 2. The Contractor shall be responsible for the furnishing of the entire blower package and any materials needed to connect it to the Utilities existing piping. 3. Contractor shall perform all work in accordance to TDEC and TAUD standard specifications. 4. Contractor shall otherwise perform all work in accordance with appropriate and applicable local and state law and regulations. 5. Contractor will implement and utilize a plan to work with the plant operators to ensure no interruption to service. 6. The contactor shall provide an estimated equipment delivery and installation start date with their bid. 7. The proposed blower unit shall meet the following specifications. Power- 75 HP Mass Airflow Requirement- 1700(SCFM) Volume Airflow Requirement- 1932(ICFM) Differential Pressure- 6.4(psig) Unit must be in a powder coated steel enclosure to reduce noise levels below 75dBA at 1m. Compensation shall be a lump sum amount for a completed project, which shall include all labor, equipment, and transportation costs for furnishing, installation, and testing the new blower unit. Completion of the project shall be deemed final operational testing of the fully installed unit.
