Everett Stewart Regional Airport is seeking bids to replace the existing hangar door on Building C with a hydraulic door, or functional equivalent. subject to the following terms and conditions: 1. The existing "accordion" style door will be taken down and stored onsite in a location of the airport's choosing. 2. The new door will consist of a hydraulic folding door, or functional equivalent. 3. All bids for the door replacement must include a hangar door that does not impede the existing overhead or side clearance of the hangar's rough opening as constructed. 4. Bids should include all labor, parts and associated costs for door construction, installation and any necessary building modifications to adequately support the door and its operation. 5. Complete specifications and engineering data will be supplied as part of the bids for consideration. 6. Bidder is responsible for measuring the existing opening, ensuring that proposed door meets all local building codes, determining any modifications or structural reinforcements necessary to support the door and its operation, and that the submitted bid includes details of these determinations. 7. Bids must be valid for a minimum period of 90 days after submission date. 8. Everett Stewart Regional Airport reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, regardless of price or other considerations. Minimum Specifications 1. Exterior and interior cladding of 26 ga., matching (as close as possible) the existing exterior cladding. 2. 3" fiberglass batt (or equivalent) insulation on door. 3. No windows or service doors required. 4. Building risk category 2, exposure category C. 5. Design wind speed =115 mph. 6. Existing clear opening approximately 56'W x16'H (bidder responsible for final measurement). Clear opening must not be raised,narrowed or lowered by door or its components. 7. Structural steel must be of sufficient quantity and quality to support door and its operation, and meet specifications herein.
