Reference Number 0000279454 Question Acceptance Deadline 2024/10/11 11:59:00 PM EDT The tank to be recoated is carbon steel with an approximate volume of 38,000 litres, a diameter of 3.75 metres, a height of 4.5 meters, and includes two 600 millimetre access hatches. Preliminary inspections have revealed that the tank interior coating has begun to degrade and must be replaced. The tank is located indoors within a bulk chemical storage area, and is situated approximately 5-10 metres from an overhead access door. A contractor laydown / staging area will be designated in close proximity to the overhead access door. The main scope of work includes: Extraction and disposal of residual 50% Sodium Hydroxide solution and scale from the tank. Tank Isolation, Lock-Out / Tag-Out and Confined Space Entry Procedures. Tank interior cleaning. Tank interior surface preparation. Accommodation for structural and weld inspections of the tank by the City. Application of a new interior coating. NACE inspections. Ongoing coordination with Plant Operations for chemical unloading. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
