Recreation access improvements for Shanahan Park and Pines Recreation Area . Contractor Qualification The Work is to be performed in two locations in Groveland, MA: Shanahan Field, 423 Main Street, and Pines Recreation Area, 185 Main Street. Shanahan Field The Work consists of the demolition and clearing within the limit of work and construction of a parking lot, sidewalk, driveway, and associated infrastructure and all work incidental thereto, in accordance with the Specifications and conceptual plans attached hereto. The Work shall take place at Shanahan Field, 423 Main Street, Groveland, Massachusetts. Existing asphalt will be excavated within the sawcut limits, leaving the residence undisturbed. Trees within the limit of work will be removed. The sawcut at River's Edge and installation of bituminous berm will define the new edge of roadway. A parking lot will be constructed with an entrance on Main Street, including full depth pavement, bituminous curb, asphalt sidewalk, wheelchair ramps, striping, and signage. Proposed utility work includes electrical for light poles and a closed stormwater drainage system connected to the Town network. The asphalt sidewalk along Main Street within the limit of work will be repaved. A full depth pavement driveway will be constructed for the residence. Loam and seed are proposed within areas of regrading around the lot, along River's Edge, surrounding the existing residence, and incidental areas as necessary. Landscaping is proposed to replace the removed trees and to provide a natural buffer between the parking lot and the residence. Construction fencing and erosion controls (including compost filter tube and catch basin inlet protection) shall be installed as described on the site plans.
