Broken Arrow Public Schools - High School Fine Arts Renovation Project All bids are to be sealed and CLEARLY labeled by describing the project and indicating the package being bid, on the envelope as described in the Instructions to Bidders. A Bid Security, as stipulated in the bid documents, in the amount of 5% of the bid shall accompany the sealed proposal of each bidder if the amount of the bid exceeds $50,000. The scope of work of this bid package shall also include the following items, but without limiting the scope of work as provided above: 1.) This bid package is intended to be all inclusive of labor and equipment required for select building and site demolition. Provide site demolition, including, but not limited to, curb and gutter removal, asphalt and concrete paving removal, sidewalk removal, concrete steps and pads, fencing, gates, screen walls, canopies along with supporting structure, etc. in accordance the Contract Documents. 2.) Selective demolition specifically, but not limited to, the following items: a. Existing structure (foundations, structural steel, exterior walls, roof, etc.) b. Interior and Exterior masonry or CMU c. Ceilings d. Flooring n carpet, VCT, sheet vinyl, tile, etc. e. Wall tile f. Walls/Columns (Interior and Exterior, gypsum/metal framing and masonry) and as required to accommodate new structural supports at existing building. g. Interior and Exterior Doors and Frames h. Millwork, cabinetry, and furniture i. Specialties j. Toilet Partitions k. Signage l. Interior and Exterior Windows/ Glass and Glazing 3.) Include sanding, adhesive and mastic removal at existing floors to bare concrete/CMU/brick/drywall. 4.) Layout areas of wall to be removed for new steel and coordinate with steel subcontractor. 5.) Layout areas of wall to be removed for new walls and coordinate with drywall subcontractor. 6.) Coordinate demo for new openings in existing walls with correct opening dimensions and conditions and also allow for new MEP above new ceiling line to penetrate existing walls. 7.) For openings in existing walls, lay-out new opening, saw cut existing material and remove existing portions of wall. Coordinate opening with supplier or installer. 8.) Coordinate demolition with Mechanical, Electrical, and Fire Sprinkler contractors for locations and termination of services in demolition areas. Contractor to coordinate schedule dates with the appropriate subcontractors and the Construction Manager. 9.) Contractor to demolition the existing building concrete decks, elevated slabs, elevator pits and walls, concrete and steel beams, concrete walls, concrete columns, concrete slabs and concrete footings as shown on the Contract Documents and detailed on the Structural Drawings as required for a minimal disturbance to existing structure. Include chipping, saw cutting, and removal in accordance with the Contract Documents. 10.) Include sawcut and removal of the existing slabs shown on the demolition drawings for MEP. Layout of areas to be removed will be confirmed by MEP subcontractors. See structural drawings for footings in existing slab areas
