the demolition and removal of a 16-story building and related improvements located at 108 First Street, Macon, Georgia 31201, formerly known as the downtown Macon Hilton Hotel, as more particularly depicted, The Contractor will be responsible for supplying all labor, equipment and supervision to complete the Scope of Work and satisfy the Specifications Deadline to submit questions will be Friday, October 18, 2024, by 3:00 P.M. All questions must be submitted by email only to lhardwick@maconbibb.us For a contractor's bid to be considered, it must be accompanied by a bid bond, payable to the County, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total base bid. This bid security shall become payable to the County if the contractor to whom award is made fails to execute a contract with the County and furnish bond and insurance in accordance with terms of the contract within ten (10) days after notification of award. Minority, Women Owned and other Disadvantaged Business Enterprises are encouraged to participate in the solicitation process. Additionally, respondents are encouraged to use Minority, Women Owned and other Disadvantaged Business Enterprises subcontractors where possible.
