Wharton-Smith, Inc. is the Construction Manager proudly serving Marion County Schools and is soliciting proposals from prequalified subcontractors for the construction of High School CCC: Bid Package #2 Building Foundations/Utilities and Site Work and Bid Package #4 Building Shell. Subcontractor bids are being solicited to complete the early site package consisting of the following scopes of work: Bid Package #2: Building Foundations/Utilities and Site Work Building foundations and under-pad utilities, and all site work. Bid Package #4: Building Shell Building concrete shell, including structural steel, exterior doors, and windows. Bid Package #5 (Building Interior Finishes and MEP) will bid in February 2025. Construction is tentatively scheduled to start in January 2025. Bid Package #5, including the building interior finishes and remaining site work is tentatively scheduled to bid in February 2025, with construction starting in April 2025 and finishing in July 2026. RFI's are due by 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 17, and may be emailed to comest@whartonsmith.com. Please do not contact the Architect or Owner for information on this project. JLA badging will be required of all bidding subcontractors per Florida Statues 1012.32, 1012.465, 1012.467 & 1012.468 at the end of the project, once school staff is onsite. All costs for new employee badging & renewals will be the sole responsibility of the bidding subcontractor. MWBE and local Subcontractors & Suppliers are encouraged to participate.
