This critical project at Dallas–Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) involves consolidating four existing Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) stations into two newly constructed, centralized ARFF facilities. The effort also includes the addition of a new fumigation facility, replacing outdated infrastructure to meet evolving safety and regulatory requirements. The new East ARFF Station combines the functions of Fire Stations 1 and 3 and spans approximately 48,000 square feet. Likewise, the West ARFF Station consolidates Fire Stations 2 and 4 into a single 48,000-square-foot facility. The West station also includes a new structural vehicular bridge across West Airfield Drive, providing direct ARFF equipment access to the airfield and integrating the relocation of an existing detention pond. To further improve operations, the project includes construction of a 2,600-square-foot Fumigation Facility to replace the existing structure. This updated facility offers expanded capabilities and aligns with current airport sanitation and safety standards. As of January 23, 2026, the project is complete.
