Renovation of an educational facility in Thomaston, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The work consists of replacing rooftop air handling units, power and natural gas connections, air testing and balancing, and HVAC controls. Bids shall be on a lump sum price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. Bidding Documents may be examined at the Thomaston First Selectman office at 158 Main Street, Thomaston, CT between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Thursday, and 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Friday, legal holidays excluded. THE BOE IS AN AFFIRMATIVE ACTION/EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER. MBEs, WBEs AND SBEs ARE ENCOURAGED TO BID ON THIS CONTRACT Bidders will be added to the "plan holders" or prospective bidders list upon downloading the bidding documents for the project. All Bidders shall furnish with their Bid: A. Acknowledgement of Addenda Form B. 410 Bid Form C. C430 Bid Bond D. 440 Non-collusive Affidavit of Prime Bidder E. 450 State of Bidder Qualifications Bid deposit in the form of a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the maximum total amount of the Bid and made payable to the Town of Thomaston, Connecticut. Performance and Payment Bonds, in the full amount of the Contract price, will be required of the Successful Bidder. No Bid may be withdrawn within 30 days after the date of the opening of Bids. Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids, or to accept any Bid which in their opinion, is in the public interest to do so.
