The City of Prescott reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, and/or some or all of the alternates bid, and waive any informality deemed in the best interest of the City and to reject the bids of any persons who have been delinquent or unfaithful in any contract with the City. The City of Prescott is issuing this request for proposals (RFP) seeking proposals from qualified vendors to furnish all necessary labor, supervision, materials, equipment, and supplies to satisfactorily perform janitorial services for five (5) City locations, that include seven (7) buildings, as more particularly described in the Scope of Work, and incorporated herein by reference. The Facilities Division reserves the right to adjust service specifications at any time based on environmental changes, to accommodate schedules or security regulations, or to allow fixture changes within the space. The Facilities Division also reserves the right to make changes to service delivery and location as requirements dictated by either subtracting or adding locations. Multiple contracts for janitorial services may be awarded to multiple firms Employees and representatives of the Contractor's company should be sufficiently fluent in the English language to read and understand chemical labels and signs as well as converse with City management and other personnel. The Contractor's Supervisor, or delegate, must be fluent in the English language and should be able to communicate with the Facilities Division personnel. The Contractor is not allowed to employ undocumented workers to perform custodial services in or on City facilities. A Contractor employee who has been prohibited from working at a City facility because of breach of trust cannot be assigned to any other City facility. The Contractor must ensure that all employees are trained in building evacuation procedures. A sufficient inventory of all supplies will be maintained at all times by the Contractor. Each facility shall be staffed to maintain optimum conditions of cleanliness. If the level of cleaning at any time is unacceptable to the City of Prescott, the Contractor will be required to increase staff or take necessary measures to provide acceptable cleanliness at no additional cost to the City. It may be necessary for the Contractor to move and replace furniture including tables, chairs, etc., as needed to complete the tasks. Care should be taken not to damage walls or disconnect appliances or equipment when moving furniture. If damage does occur, Contractor shall repair damage and make whole at no charge to the City. For security/safety reasons, no furniture or other items may be stored outside the building. All furniture will be returned to its original position unless otherwise instructed by the Facilities Division. The City of Prescott is to be sole judge of said quality and required frequency of services provided herewith. A. DESCRIPTION OF WORK Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, supervision, materials, equipment, and supplies to satisfactorily perform janitorial services for seven (7) City buildings. The City 3 takes pride in providing an exceptionally clean, safe and aesthetically pleasing environment at all times for its patrons and employees. The City expects the Contractor to demonstrate this same pride in the Services performed. The Contractor shall maintain clean safe environment throughout the contract period.
