Bid date notes: Bids may be mailed or delivered to the Town Clerk, 200 Road, Manhasset, New York 11030, provided the Bid is actually received by the Town Clerk prior to the time of public opening; or Bids may be delivered to the place of public opening (i.e., the Town Board Room) immediately prior to the time of public opening. All Bids must be sealed and submitted in the pre-marked envelope provided with the Bid Documents or must be sealed and submitted in a package (envelope) MARKED IN THE SAME WAY as the pre-marked envelope provided with the Bid Documents. All BIDDERS MUST complete the required Contractor's Qualifications Statement and must provide a copy of the required Statement of Financial Conditions, even if a Bidder is currently executing work for the Town. No bids shall be received unless made in writing on forms furnished, and unless accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond made payable to the Town of North Hempstead for an amount not less than five (5%) percent of the Bid price. Bidders Are Hereby Advised That All Bonds and Insurance Documents Submitted Will Be Verified for Authenticity by Direct Communication With the Surety/insurance Company. All Bonding and Insurance Companies Must Be Licensed to Do Business in the State of New York. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, and to waive any informalities therein. As described in the Bid Documents, all bidders are required to submit proof of participation in apprentice training programs which have been registered and approved by the New York State Department of Labor for the trades necessary to perform the work stated in the Bid Documents, along with certificates of completion issued by theDepartment of Labor recognizing an individual's successful completion of a stateapproved and state-registered apprenticeship program in any trade and job title necessary for the performance of the work described in the Bid Documents. Additional provisions relating to apprenticeship programs are found in the Bid Documents. A Building Permit is Required for this Project. Contractor and Subcontractor(s) are expected to possess all licenses as required to pull a Building Permit for this project from the Town of North Hempstead Building Department. The Town will not accept Bids from, nor award a Contract to, anyone who cannot prove to the satisfaction of the Town Board that he has sufficient experience in this type of construction and financially able and organized to successfully carry out the work covered by the Plans and Specifications in the required completion time. Special qualification requirements are contained in the Contract Documents. Bidders should note that, pursuant to New York General Municipal Law 103(16), the contract that may be awarded pursuant to the specifications for this bid may be utilized by any governmental entity in New York State, subject to the provisions contained in the Bid Documents. Document notes: within thirty days following the Award of Contract or within sixty days following the opening of bids if no Contract is awarded. All other deposits will be refunded on the basis of fifty (50%) percent of the deposit amount for sets returned in good condition within the same period.
