Site Directions: Starting at the Intersection of Via Lomas De Yorba W and Copper Canyon Rd in the City of Yorba Linda (North of E La Palma Ave) Est. Completion Date: April 2, 2025. The District owns and maintains a 16-inch cement mortar lined and coated steel waterline that is located on Copper Canyon Road and the hillside from Via Lomas De Yorba Way to Ave De Michelle in the City of Yorba Linda. The existing 16-inch waterline has had two recent breaks, with one occurring in late October of 2023 and the other shortly thereafter in November of 2023. The distance between the two breaks was approximately 50 feet. District staff was able to perform CCTV video inspection on 1,160 linear feet of the waterline. The results of the video inspection indicated a high potential of future breaks. Approximately 1,980 linear feet of the 16-inch waterline will have to be rehabilitated. The work includes 1,813 LF Flexible Fabric Reinforced Pipe (FFRP) Liner installation. In addition, the District owns and maintains a 24-inch cement mortar lined and coated waterline that runs parallel to the existing 16-inch waterline. These two waterlines are within different zones and the District is re-configuring the connection between them to make them redundant to each other, should the need arise in the future. Shutdowns will be done by YLWD's operations crew; however, they typically only follow the instructions that they receive from the project manager. The project manager and the contractor will need to work closely on this. Pothole and verify the exact location of sewer lines for Upper and Lower interconnections.
