Renovation of a mixed-use development in National City, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center; fire / police facility; and municipal facility.
The general scope of work is to remove and replace the existing fire service backflow preventers at the National City Police Department (1200 National City Boulevard), Martin Luther King JR Community Center (140 E. 12th Street) and City of National City, City Hall (1243 National City Blvd). The recently adopted resolution 18-07 adopted by Sweetwater Authority requires that all single swing checks on fire service laterals be replaced with an approved reduced pressure principal backflow prevention detector assembly (RPDA). The scope includes but not limited to removal of any existing conflicting fire service equipment and install of a new fire service backflow preventer system including tamper switches and 2-way fire department connection with Knox caps. All work must meet Sweetwater Authority and NFPA standards to ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure. The Contractor shall coordinate all aspects of the project and pull all permits.
