Gymnasium Floor Refinishing Bid - Central High School, West High School, and Northwest Middle School. o Mark/Peg all existing lines on floor. o Sand the entire surface until the old finishes are removed and consistent smooth wood surface is exposed. o Seal the entire surface with oil based wood floor sealer. o Mark and paint all prior new court lines and logos back onto floor (some may change during initial walkthrough per Activity Director's recommendation). o Add three total coats of gym court high gloss finish (abrading in between each coat). o Square foot of Central High School small gym = 11,648 square feet o Square foot of West High School small gym =5,310 square feet o Square foot of Northwest Middle School main gym = 8,930 square feet The Hazelwood School District is seeking bid proposals to repair, sand, paint and seal the gym floors for Central High School, West High School, and Northwest Middle School. Proposal Forms including: o HSD Form A - MBE/WBE Subcontractor Utilization Form o HSD Form B - MBE/WBE Subcontractor Solicitation Form o Proposal Form - Labor Agreement Due to District needs, work should be scheduled to begin on or about Tuesday, July 1, 2025, and be completed no later than Friday, August 1, 2025. The Owner may require the successful bidder to furnish a Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Bond prior to the execution of the contract. The bonds shall be written in the amount of 100 percent of the total contract price. Question Deadline 10/09/2024 at 12:00 PM CT Any questions regarding the specifications are to be directed to Danielle Thomas, Director of Purchasing & Supplier Diversity no later than through the Vendor Registry online question submission process via the district's website online. Only these inquiries will be answered. Any items requiring clarification will be distributed to all known vendors. The Hazelwood School District has established a Supplier Diversity Program to provide opportunities for the meaningful participation of Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) and Women Business Enterprises (WBEs) in purchases made by the District. The submission of a bid will be construed by the owner that the bidder hasmade sufficient examination and agrees to fulfill all requirements of the contract in full accordance with specifications and is entirely familiar with and thoroughly understands all such requirements. To this end the District has set goals for participation on all construction projects of 25% for MBEs and 5% for WBEs. The Supplier Diversity Program also encourages its business partners to strive for a workforce goal of twenty five percent (25%) minority and five percent (5%) women. Upon request and verification of need by the Hazelwood School District, the District will pay MBE/WBE contractors every two weeks for labor cost upon presentation of required documentation. The District will accept, as prospective MBE/WBE participants for these projects, only those MBE/WBE firms which have been certified by one or more of the following agencies on or before the date of the bid opening The District may reject any and all bids that do not meet its program goals. Owner reserves the right to require financial statement from bidder. Statement shall be treated as confidential by Owner. The Hazelwood School District reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals. The Hazelwood School District reserves the right to award all or part of the bid solicitation to multiple bidders based on which proposal and/or proposals are most beneficial for the District. Once the Hazelwood School District has awarded the Proposal, the Proposal Submission will represent as the contractual agreement unless otherwise communicated. The owner reserves the right to waive informalities in bids and to reject any or all bids. The School District reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive informalities therein to determine the lowest and best bid, and to approve the Bond. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days subsequent to the specified time for receipt of bids.
