The City of St. Peters is seeking bids for construction of storm water channel improvements to two open channels between Mid Rivers Mall Drive and Grand Teton Drive. The northern channel, is approximately 1,000 feet long, located behind the residences on the south of Grand Teton Drive. The southern channel is approximately 1,500 feet long and extends from Mid Rivers Mall Drive west, between Blackwood Lane and Glenwood Lane. The project improvements will reconstruct both channels to include: channel clearing, channel re-construction, retaining walls, rock lined channels, rock grade control structures, storm structure replacements, fence removals and replacements, and revegetation with rolled erosion control blankets and native plants. This project will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder. No 2nd tier subcontracting will be allowed on this project. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in bidding and to reject all bids. Liquidated damages of $700.00 a day will apply. Bidder hereby agrees to commence work under this contract on or after a date to be specified in a written "NOTICE TO PROCEED" of the owner and to fully complete the project within 180 calendar days, as stipulated in the specifications.
