ESTIMATED PROJECT BUDGET: $300,000.00 CCA are soliciting cost proposals on behalf of the Del Mar Fairgrounds, for the DMTC HVAC project at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. General information, plans and current site photographs are included in Appendices A, B, C, & D. The scope of work to include the following: The project will consist of labor, equipment and materials to implement DMTC HVAC project at the Del Mar Fairgrounds (Fair) located at 2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd, Del Mar, CA 92014. Project description: o The project scope of work is presented below: o Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, and or Plumbing for new HVAC Unit Remove existing Air handling unit, and prep for new install Provide and Install (1) Roof top Air Handling unit Economizer Curb Adapter Condensate Drain Pan Spring Isolator Condenser Coil Coating Replace existing Pneumatic with DDC Control by Automated controls Wireless DDC to Packaged Heat Pump Units Wireless DDC System to dedicated Outside Air Units Wireless DDC to operate Make up Air Unit Wireless DDC to operate Exhaust Fans Remove & Replace ECM Pump Relocate existing air handler electrical connections to new location of air handler House panel load modification and calculations Coordination with Mechanical systems to provide power. Structural modification for new air handler unit and new boiler installation Structural design for relocation access hatch panel Overall roof support for new equipment weight New air handler condensate drain piping design or modification Roof drain and overflow drain modification if required ADDITIVE ALTERNATE 1: o Remove & Replace Existing Boiler o Remove & Replace ECM Pump The Bidder is required to possess a qualified California Contractors C20 License, that is active and in good standing at the time of the bid opening and remain so throughout the duration of Contract. All specialize skills, i.e., welding, specialized hardware, etc. to be conducted by personnel with applicable qualifications and license. A 10% Bid Bond or equal is required; the successful Bidder is required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond, along with proof of insurance. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest total bid conforming to the bid requirements for the project. Bids to include all labor, equipment, materials, and applicable taxes. 31. Construction work to be completed by May 31 st , 2024 with all work scheduled around Fair events. If Contractor fails to complete the work within the contract time, liquidated damages of $200 a day may be accessed, see Appendix C, "Sample CCA Contract Agreement". 32. Any manufacturer delays of major equipment may relieve the Contractor of damages and provide for non-compensable time extension, but proof that equipment was ordered within 5 days of awarding of contract and a certified declaration from the manufacturer will be required, subject to CCA's acceptance. Any questions or requests for clarification (RFC) are to be submitted to PM at rseitz@ccauthority.org. RFC or questions are be submitted a minimum of 96 hours prior to the bid submittal time, RFCs submitted after this time may not get addressed. November 6th, 2024 (Anticipated) Notice of Award November 27th, 2024 (Anticipated) Notice to Proceed (NTP): Project Start Date, Project Submittal Log including determination of critical path submittals, Schedule of Values Project Completion June 4th , 2024 Construction Completion and Close-Out Bid Security. Bidders must submit their Bid Form with a bid bond by an admitted surety insurer of not less than ten percent (10%) of their base Bid amount, including all additive alternates. Required form of corporate surety, Bid Bond, is provided by CCA in the Contract Documents and must be used and fully completed by Bidders choosing to provide a Bid Bond as security. The Surety on Bidders' Bid Bond must be an insurer admitted in the State of California and authorized to issue surety bonds in the State of California. If Bidder chooses to no provide a bid bond, then cash, a cashier's check, or a certified check payable to CCA must be presented to CCA's office before the bid opening time. Bids submitted without necessary bid security will be deemed non-responsive and will not be considered.
