Bids delivered by USPS, Fed Ex, or UPS are not guaranteed to be received by the Chabot-Las Positas Community College District prior to submittal cut time. Reference "Request for Proposals: Bid No.: B24/25-03 Testing and Inspection for the Building 3000 Maintenance and Operation Warehouse & Garage at Chabot College" on all inquiries. No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any and all bids and any and all items of such bids. This bid shall also be subject to any and all applicable laws, regulations and standards. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. The Chabot-Las Positas Community College District is soliciting proposals from interested and qualified firms to provide Materials Testing and Special Inspection Services during the construction of Chabot College Maintenance Operations Warehouse & Garage. To be qualified the firm must have a laboratory accepted by DSA with a DSA issued "LEA" number. The new Maintenance Operations Warehouse & Garage project will be developed adjacent to the new Biology Phase 2 building at the west side of the Chabot Campus. The existing Building 3000 will be demolished for the new Maintenance & Operations building. The new Maintenance Operations Warehouse & Garage project will be the home to program elements including offices , meeting rooms, Break room, restrooms, maintenance shops and warehouse space to accommodate all facility operations. The project is targeted for LEED NC v4.2 Silver Certification. The scope of work includes construction of said structures above, site and building demolition, soil stabilization, site paving, site grading, tree removal, construction of site elements. The timeline for construction is estimated to start February of 2025. The project is anticipated to take approximately 600 (600) calendar days from Notice to Proceed. The DSA Approved Testing and Inspection Lab (T&I) will act provide documentation to the Division of State Architects for the project and report to the District's Project Planner/Manager and Construction Management consultant. The T&I will work with the DSA IOR to ensure the project is constructed according to the approved DSA plans and specifications. The District's Project Planner Manager and/or Construction Manager through the DSA IOR will provide direction to the T&I Lab.
