Site work for a civil project in Indio, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Scope of Work: The Project consists of the construction of new 8-inch sewer pipelines, 10-inch sewer pipelines and the associated facilities, including tie-ins to the existing sewer system, manholes, and protecting other existing utilities. The project extends approximately 1,125 linear feet across the VSD's service area replacing an existing 12-inch sewer siphon crossing the existing Coachella Valley Stormwater Channel (also known as Whitewater River) at Westward Ho Drive and Meadow Lake Drive. The sewer replacement effort will include retrofitting one existing sewer manhole and adding five new sewer manholes. The sewer pipeline work will include two new 8-inch sewer gravity pipelines and two new 10-inch sewer gravity pipelines tying into the existing sewer system, two new 8-inch sewer siphon pipelines, and an 8-inch sewer air jumper pipeline inside a 30-inch high-density polyethylene (HDPE) sleeve using the trenchless horizontal directional drilling (HDD) method to cross under the Coachella Valley Stormwater Channel. The intent of the project is to replace the existing 12-inch sewer siphon crossing the Coachella Valley Stormwater Channel that was exposed during a storm in February 2019 with a safer and deeper siphon sewer pipeline.
