Reference Number 0000364728 The City of Southfield is bids proposals from qualified companies to remove and replace the ceiling tiles and to paint the existing ceiling grid in the Police Department. The successful company will be required to enter a contract and provide insurance acceptable to the City. Copies of these requirements have been provided for your review. Question Deadline 10/15/2024 at 5:00 PM ET Questions must be received no later than time and be sent to purchasingdept@cityofsouthfield.com. Place the name of the bid request in the subject line of the email. Pre-Bid Meeting: No additional fees will be allowed for failure to inspect or for additional material quantities. No bid will be withdrawn for 60 days from its opening date. Bidders may reduce this period if he states so in his bid; however, he runs the risk of being declared non-responsive to the specifications. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any irregularity in any bid, to split awards by items or lots (unless otherwise stipulated either in the specifications or by the bidder) or to award to other than the low bidder, should any of the foregoing be deemed in its best interests. 3.1. The successful contractor will be required to provide all supervision, labor, materials, expertise, equipment, etc. to remove and properly dispose of the existing ceiling tiles, paint the existing ceiling grid, and install new ceiling tiles. 3.2. Contractor will be required to obtain a permit from the Building Department. Fees for the permit will be waived. 3.3. Cubicles will remain in place and the contractor will need to work around them. Work can only be done Friday after 3pm to Sunday evening. All work started on Friday must be completed by Sunday evening. No open ceiling areas will be allowed on Monday morning. Project area must be clean and ready for employees by Monday morning. 3.4. The contractor must provide a project supervisor that will function as the single point of contact for the City throughout this project. 3.5. Take all necessary measures to prevent damage to other areas of the building adjacent to the project area. If damage occurs because of the contractor's work, the contractor is responsible for the repair and/or replacement of the damaged area to the satisfaction of the City of Southfield. 3.6. Clean up the work area daily to remove debris from the day's work. At the completion of the work, the contractor shall remove all equipment, surplus material, rubbish, and debris, etc. from the premises. All surfaces involved in the project shall be cleaned and made ready for use. The contractor will be responsible for removing all rubbish and debris from City property and legally disposing of it in their own dumpsters
