Demolition, site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in New Castle, Delaware. Completed plans call for the demolition of a office development; for the renovation of a office development; for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The Penns Way Renovation project includes interior renovations to a 26,500 square foot building, demolition of exterior structures, a small addition, and mill and overlay to an existing 3,100 square yard asphalt parking lot. The project also includes construction of a Privately Owned Vehicle parking lot (approximately 8,000 square yards), a Military Owned Vehicle parking lot (approximately 5,100 square yards) and interconnecting roads on the parcel surrounding 12 Penns Way (10 and 14 Penns Way). Interior renovations include drywall replacement/repair, painting, ACT ceilings, carpet, door and door hardware replacements, bathroom renovations and expansions, steel demolition, lighting, minor reconfiguration of interior walls, new data and electrical cabling, and necessary adjustments to the fire protection system. The building renovation includes the addition of a vault and demolition of exterior steel and wood structures. The project includes new parking lots, lighting and fencing. The successful bidder must post a performance bond and payment bond in a sum equal to 100 percent of the contract price upon execution of the contract The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities therein
