Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Charleston, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
Install new Owner Supplied duplex submersible pumps and Pump Control/SCADA-RTU Panel. Furnish and install all conduit, wiring, valves, materials, labor and ancillary appurtenances necessary to install all Owner Supplied Equipment (OSE). Furnish and install new above grade discharge ductile iron piping as indicated. Repair existing wet well interior concrete surfaces and furnish and install new wet well linings and interior riser piping coatings. The Work shall include providing all labor and materials for the Upgrade/Renovation of JIPSD PS-17 including: Coordinate all ancillary work with JIPSD for temporary by-pass pumping. Furnish and maintain all required temporary by-pass pumping equipment. Demolition and removal of designated electrical and mechanical equipment and other designated components for JIPSD salvage. Remove existing pumps and electrical panels for JIPSD salvage. Furnish and install all labor and materials for temporary erosion control measures, tree trimming, miscellaneous site work, and appurtenances, complete as indicated and specified Install new Owner Supplied duplex submersible pumps and Pump Control/SCADA-RTU Panel. Furnish and install all conduit, wiring, valves, materials, labor and ancillary appurtenances necessary to install all Owner Supplied Equipment (OSE). Furnish and install new above grade discharge ductile iron piping as indicated. Repair existing wet well interior concrete surfaces and furnish and install new wet well linings and interior riser piping coatings. Furnish all labor and materials for new cast-in-place concrete slabs. Furnish and install all ancillary electrical level controls, new SCADA antenna pole, antenna, conduit and wiring, and ancillary electrical service panels, pipe painting, and furnish and install all piping to the existing force main point of connection. Furnish and install new electrical equipment rack, all primary electrical service conduit from Dominion point-of-service, and pay for all Dominion costs to upgrade the existing electrical service. Furnish all labor and materials for new Site Work including repair and reconstruction of asphalt concrete surfaces where indicated. Question Deadline 11/07/2024 , All questions regarding this Project shall be submitted in writing to G. Robert George & Associates, Inc., 2411 Savannah Highway, Charleston, SC 29414, via fax at 843-571-0276, or via e-mail at bobgeorgegrga@comcast.net. Questions must include the project name in the subject heading. No response will be given to questions received less than seven (7) days before the bid date. Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check payable to the James Island Public Service District in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price. If, upon acceptance of the bid, a Bidder fails to enter into a Contract with the James Island Public Service District, the bid security shall be forfeited to and become the property of the James Island Public Service District. No bidder may withdraw their bid within ninety (90) days after the date of the bid opening. The successful bidder must furnish a separate one hundred percent (100%) Performance and Payment Bonds issued by a surety company satisfactory to the James Island Public Service District. The successful bidder must also provide proof of fire, extended coverage, vandalism and malicious mischief insurance equal to the actual value of the insured property during construction The James Island Public Service District reserves the right to reject any and all responses and to waive technicalities as deemed to be in the best interest of the JIPSD or reject any or all bids. The James Island Public Service District reserves the right to request additional information from bidders as deemed necessary by the JIPSD to analyze bidder qualifications. Bidders are required to certify, under penalty of perjury, that bids have been prepared without collusion with other bidders, subcontractors, suppliers, etc. This certification is included with the Bid Proposal, which each Bidder must sign in the space provided Work included: This Section established requirements pertaining to the securement and payment for licenses, building permits, public rights-of-way and utility easement encroachment permits, etc. necessary for the construction ofthe Project. Submit to the Engineer satisfactory evidence that all necessary licenses, building permits, etc. have been secured prior to commencing the work. Work shall include the preparation and submission of all Traffic Control Plans (TCP) for Engineer review and SCDOT/Municipal approval prior to commencing work within public right-of-way. Work not included: The Owner will obtain and provide to the Contractor, as required, copies of: Encroachment permits issued by SCDOT, county and/or municipal governments as applicable. SC DHEC Permits to Construct Wastewater Facilities as applicable. SC DHEC OCRM Stormwater Management Coastal Zone Consistency Certification. SC DHEC Notice of Intent (NOI) for Stormwater Discharges, NPDES General Permit SCR100000, and Project Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SW3P) Certification(s) as applicable. Related Work: Documents affecting work of this Section include, but are not necessarily limited to, General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, and Sections in Division I ofthis Project Manual and the Project Drawings. All construction activities near overhead and underground electrical distribution and/or transmission lines and cables shall be performed pursuant to OSHA Clearance Standard 1926.550(a)(l 5). All potential conflicts between construction activities and electrical utility facilities shall be preplanned and coordinated with the applicable utility prior to construction.
