Site work and renovation of a civil project in Ashland, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The scope of work is for addition of one booster pump station, replacement of two existing booster pump stations, reestablishment of water services, other water system appurtenances and abandonment of existing pit-type booster pump stations and includes: Installation of one 40 GPM rated booster pump station with chlorine feed system at Johnson Fork, one 22 GPM booster pump station on Baugess Drive, one 22 GPM booster pump at Florida Street, infrastructure necessary to achieve flushing flows of 250 GPM at Johnson Fork and Baugess Drive, infrastructure necessary to achieve fire protection of 500 GPM at Florida Street, all interconnected piping and accessories, include residential pressure reducing valves where necessary. Any questions as to these specifications shall be addressed to Steven D. Cole, P.E., P.L.S., Director of Engineering (606) 385-3332 The new water booster pump stations are in 3 locations around the City of Ashland. The first is located on at the site of the existing booster pump station on the eastern side of Baugess Drive, nearest to the residence at 6827 Baugess Drive. The second is located at the site of the existing booster pump station on the northwestern side of Delaware Street, adjacent to the intersection with Beckett Street. The final site is at the northeastern side of the abandoned property at 5701 Catletts Creek Road in Catlettsburg, Kentucky, near to the intersection of Catletts Creek Road and Johnson Fork Road. C. Major work items in this Contract include: 1. Construction of a 22 gpm booster pump station at the location of the existing pit-type station on Baugess Drive. 2. Construction of a 22 gpm booster pump station at the location of the existing pit-type station on Delaware Street. 3. Construction of a 40 gpm booster pump station at the location of the abandoned church property on Catletts Creek Road. 4. Construction of infrastructure necessary to achieve flushing flows of 250 gpm for the 6-inch lines at each of the 3 station locations, including separate pumping units, additional piping and monitoring equipment where necessary. 5. Implementation of VFDs and electronic controls in each of the 3 pump station locations. 6. Installation of new SCADA systems at each of the 3 pump station locations which will connect to the existing monitoring network controlled by the OWNER. 7. Construction of a new chemical building in the facility at 5701 Catletts Creek Road which will have storage, feed, and monitoring capabilities for sodium hypochlorite. 8. Construction of all interconnected piping and accessories, including pressure reducing valves for residences where necessary.
