The general scope involves Move four modular units from North Brunswick High School located at 114 Scorpion Dr., Leland, NC 28451. Move two to Union Elementary School located at 180 Union School Rd., NW, Shallotte, NC 28470 and two to Lincoln Elementary School located at 1664 Lincoln Rd., Leland, NC 28451. Obtain all required building and DOT permits in all jurisdictions required and pay all fees associated with this work. Comply with all NCDOT laws and requirements. Contractor is required to perform due diligence to locate underground utilities. Owner will submit plans and specifications to zoning and permitting. Remove and dispose of all skirting, concrete masonry units, stairs and landings. Remove piers and backfill area even with existing grade. Area is to be seeded. Prepare sites with concrete footings, piers and tie-downs as required per engineered drawings provided by Contractor. Protect interior of units from weather damage during transportation. Set up reassembled Classrooms. Units are to be leveled, joined and made weather tight. Units must be secured by hurricane ties as per Code and manufacturers requirements. Contractor is to include a $1000.00 allowance in their Base Bid amount. As liquidated damages, the sum of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) for each consecutive calendar day that terms of the contract remain unfulfilled beyond the date allowed by the Contract, Project Start Date: January 6th, 2025 Project Completion Date: February 17th, 2025. The Brunswick County Board of Education has a right to reject any or all bids, pursuant to NC Statute and Board of Education Policy, and to waive any or all informalities.
