The Upper Newport Bay Ecological Reserve is a fully tidal estuary located within the City of Newport Beach, County of Orange. The marine estuary has one main open water channel that is available for public use with non-motorized boating such as kayaks, stand up paddleboards (SUPs), canoes, outriggers, and rafts. There are nineteen (19) buoys with significant marine biofouling which has led to the sinking of many of the deep-water spar buoys to the point where the text is no longer visible. Some buoys have also shifted locations. As such, all buoys will need to undergo routine maintenance, inspections, and cleaning. All questions concerning this IFB must be submitted directly to Holly Peterson at Holly.Peterson@wildlife.ca.gov on or before October 22, 2024 by 5:00PM (PT). Proposed Award Date 11-15-2024
