Renovation of a detention facility in Plymouth, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
The existing Standby Power Generator System, Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS), and associated equipment have reached the end of their service life and will be replaced with a new smaller capacity system. The existing in-ground diesel fuel tank will be removed. The existing outdoor Main Service Disconnect (MSD) switch will be replaced with a new indoor MSD switch, and a new electrical equipment room will be partitioned and built in the upper-level Annex room for the purpose of housing the new ATS and generator remote emergency shutdown switch. Since this is a secure and critical County facility, power will be maintained to the building for all but the shortest possible pre-planned outages throughout the project.
