Renovation of a detention facility in Plymouth, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

The Adult Correctional Facility (ACF) Men's Section, located at 1145 Shenandoah Lane in Plymouth, MN, was originally built in 1930 and covers over 270,000 square feet. The building is heated by two dual-fuel 250-horsepower steam boilers, which were originally installed in the 1930s and have undergone subsequent burner upgrades. Phase I of the Men's Facility project included the installation of two 4 million BTU dual-fuel boilers and a hot water circulation system with pumps and accessories. Currently, the facility's heating needs are met through hot water, using steam-to-hot water exchangers and steam piping connected to steam coils in ductwork from adjacent air handling units (AHUs) and rooftop units (RTUs), along with hot water boilers.
