E. 55th (Substation 11) Rectifier Transformer Replacement Project 60G The provisions of 49 CFR Part 26, and 41 CFR Part 60-1, as applicable to Federal grants regarding equal employment practices and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise participation are applied to these procurements. The E. 55th Substation is located 2880 East 55th Street, Cleveland, Ohio 44127. It is the intent of this project to replace the failed Rectifier Transformer #1. Furnish install and test a new 11,400-volt 2,230 kVA rectifier transformer. The contractor shall furnish and install all additional hardware required to install the new transformer. This project shall include all labor, material, equipment and supervision necessary to complete the job in a workmanlike manner consistent with recognized good practice and latest building code requirements A. The Scope of Work shall include but not be limited to: 1. Removal of the existing 2,230 kVA transformer. Existing power and control cables shall be tagged and preserved for reconnection upon the installation of the new transformer. 2. Prior to energization the contractor shall perform all specified tests as outlined in specification 264630. The contractor shall perform a Hipot Test per the project drawings and specifications on all AC power cables prior to reconnecting and energizing the new transformer. 3. The contractor shall verify the correct operation of all alarm / status cables prior to energizing the transformer primary cables. 4. All newly installed equipment shall be tested per the following: the individual equipment specifications, Section 26 80 00, Section 26 95 00, and the latest version of NETA Standards for Electrical Power Equipment and Systems.
