Red Line Station Platform Replacements. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. PART FIVE: SCOPE OF SERVICES 5.1 ENGINEERING SERVICES A. The services to be performed and responsibilities of the Consultant Firm include: 1. The Consultant Firm will perform professional and related services necessary to develop plans, specifications and construction estimates for the various Red Line platform modifications. 2. The Consultant Firm will perform services only after the Procurement Department has issued Notice to Proceed. The GCRTA Project Manager will authorize the progression of services from one phase to another. Various phases will require the Consultant Firm to coordinate/attend GCRTA operational platform modification meetings as required. The phases correspond with the milestones in Section 4.9 and are below: Phase I Conceptual (30%) Design Field Inspection, Measurements and Testing Field Work Plan Conceptual Design & Preliminary Cost Estimate Submittal Phase II: Design 60% Design 98% Design Bid Package Phase III: Bidding Services Phase IV: Construction Services 3. The submittal of a Consultant In-House Quality Control Plan (QCP) to include an organizational chart with names and resumes of persons responsible for monitoring the QCP. Submit within fourteen (14) days of Notice-to-Proceed. 4. The submittal and maintenance of a design schedule. Highlight areas of required GCRTA coordination, such as work on the rail right-of-way and review periods. Submit within fourteen (14) days of Notice-to-Proceed and an updated schedule with every payment application. 5. The submittal of a Consultant Health and Safety Plan for approval by GCRTA's Safety Department. Submit within fourteen (14) days of Notice-to-Proceed, 6. These platform replacements are to be certified through the Safety & Security Certification (S&SC) process in accordance with the GCRTA Safety Certification Plan. This platform modification will be reviewed for conformance with FTA Safety Certification guidelines by an Independent Safety and Security Consultant. The A/E for this project must coordinate plans and submittals required for this certification. The A/E will be responsible for completing and submitting the Safety and Security Design Criteria Conformance Checklist at the beginning of the S&SC process. The draft checklist to be edited by the A/E is found in Appendix A.
