Site work and renovation of a civil project in Linden, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

Amtrak is seeking a contractor to remove an existing vertical tank air compressor at the Amtrak Goleta Layover Facility and replace it with a newly purchased Atlas Copco 50 HP oil injected screw compressor. The contractor will also be responsible for installing the provided oil water separator, 400-gallon vertical tank, and upgrading the piping and electrical infrastructure for a functional air compressor. This will involve sourcing 480-V, 3 phase power from a location approximately 300 feet away via a trench. In addition to work described below, the contractor will also be responsible for the following: o Uninstall the existing vertical tank air compressor and move it to a designated area in the facility for pick-up by Amtrak. The new air compressor will be installed in the same location adjacent to the entrance to the building. All components will be installed under the awning except the 400-gallon tank. o Construct a 4 ft. x4 ft. reinforced concrete pad with a thickness of 6 inches for installation of the 400-gallon tank adjacent to the awning. o Pick up the new compressor, oil water separator, and 400-gallon vertical tank from the Los Angeles Maintenance Facility (2470 E. 8th Street Los Angeles, CA 90021) and deliver to Goleta (25 S. La Patera Lane Goleta, CA 93117). Contractor will be held liable for any damage to the compressor from the time it is picked up in Los Angeles until project completion in Goleta. o Upgrade theexisting electrical and pneumatic infrastructure as required for theoperation of the new 460V/3ph/60Hz GA37FF A 125 MEAF 460 60 GRAPH air compressor. This will include the following: Install a new 125A, 480-volt, 3-phase breaker. Trench approximately 300 feet to a depth of 24 inches. Install approximately 300 feet of #4 size electrical wireinside new gray 1" PVC conduit. Add one 1" spare PVC conduit in the same trench and apply slurry encasement per electrical code. Install 300 feet of 1" wrapped galvanized pipe for air in the same trench with a stub up located at the train wash equipment (approximately 125 feet from the compressor in the trench) and adjacent to the 480V power stand. Install a 125A, 480-volt fusible electrical disconnect. Install a vent/duct to divert warm air from the air compressor to the exterior of the awning. o Coordinate start-up from a factory-trained service technician with Atlas Copco and ensure proper operating pressure is provided. o Providing a Site-Specific Safety & Work Plan (SSSWP). Approved SSSWP template will be provided by Amtrak. o Amtrak Contractor Training (www.amtrakcontractor.com) - must be up to date.
